Can MOG products be buried or cremated?
The MOG tie-up cover is 100% natural and biodegradable. It is designed to be buried.
The MOG zipper cover is specifically designed to be cremated.
The MOG home compost urn made from PHA is specifically designed to be buried.
MOG biobased urns made from PLA and PLA derived from recycled products (coffee, olive pits, oyster shells) are meant to be kept close to you.
Can I bury my pet?
First and foremost, the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code forbids throwing the body of any animal into a bin, sewer, nature, or public road. This action is punishable by a fine of €3,750. Unlike other countries, burial in a family vault is not permitted in France. Pet burials are only allowed in pet cemeteries. For other animals, only cremation or rendering are permitted. Many owners choose to bury their pet in their garden, but it’s important to know that this may lead to a fine. However, this is common and there have been no strict enforcement cases reported to date.

MOG urns are made from filaments of either PLA or PHA, produced via 3D printing.
Which MOG urn should I choose?
MOG biobased urns* in PLA: PLA is a plant-based bioplastic made from corn starch or sugar cane. Made solely from plant materials without chemicals, it is an excellent alternative to plastic products from the petroleum industry. When cremated, it doesn’t produce toxic fumes. If it’s left in nature, it won’t pollute wildlife or plants as it decomposes naturally, though it will take several decades to fully break down.
If you choose PLA, you will need to keep your urn close to you and not leave it in nature.
MOG home compost urns in PHA: PHA is a plant-based bioplastic created from corn starch or sugar cane via bacterial fermentation. Microorganisms generate this material when fed organic matter. This bioplastic stands out for its total biodegradability and compostability, even in marine environments. It is one of the few bioplastics capable of decomposing in extreme conditions.
If you choose PHA, you may wish to place or bury your urn in nature.
Biobased products are made from materials derived from living organisms, such as plants (wheat, rapeseed, flax, hemp, sawdust…) or animal products (sheep wool, organic waste…).
When should I buy MOG?
We recommend that you purchase in advance before your companion’s passing. Our delivery service ensures transport within 48 hours, but we cannot guarantee delays caused by factors beyond our delivery partners’ control.

Where are MOG products made?
MOG was designed in France and supported by the skilled hands at the workshop of Emmanuelle’s work, an ESAT in Châtelaillon-Plage, Charente-Maritime (more information here), for all cover prototypes.
The covers are manufactured in France.
The urns are produced in our workshop in Western France.
Where do the materials come from?
All our bio-based filaments for 3D printing the ballot boxes were made in France.
The wool comes from French sheep and is processed in France, in Aveyron.
Our cotton fabrics were manufactured in Portugal.
