PHA is a biobased polymer obtained through bacterial fermentation. Microorganisms generate this material when fed with organic matter. This bioplastic stands out for its total biodegradability and compostability, even in marine environments. It is one of the few bioplastics capable of degrading in extreme conditions.
Its production relies on renewable resources, which reduces dependence on fossil raw materials. Additionally, the PHA manufacturing process can utilise organic waste, further strengthening its role in a circular economy.
“We sincerely believe in the reuse of waste to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to sustainable development by obtaining biodegradable and recyclable products.” – MOG
